How do I select layers in a label and make it all one group so that I can copy and paste it all together?

Using Libre Office Writer, English. I have a macbook air osx, Version 10.8.5.
I started with a new page and selected Label. Then I set the frame settings, background color, wrote text on one layer in the center, created 2 text boxes on the left and right sides, and added a photo. I am making a homemade label. For some reason, the ‘group’ selection is grey and not allowing me to select. I want to be able to copy and paste the label I created so that I can have 4 labels per page and print it out. I would so like to be able to select it all, copy, and paste with ease and swiftness! Please help!

@Jaguarcita - Reading your question I get the impression that it is possible what you want to do. It seems to be the same what I am doing except I don’t use photos. It appears to me that a template for a sheet of labels is / could be the solution.

However, without more details, description of all steps you did, size of the label sheet, size of the labels, margins on the sheet it is not possible to give you a better advice.
