How do I automatically update image links while in full-screen presentation mode? (Think of a display that has to show an updating map) I noticed that there was a greyed out checkbox in the ‘Edit Links’ menu, but as I understand it, that will only automatically update the links after the presentation is opened, not as the presentation is running.

What do you want to achieve is unclear to me. Do you want to that Impress shows in presentation automatically a link you implemented on a certain slide? Please explain to enable help.
What I am trying to achieve is that when the saved image changes, the presentation reflects the change, while the presentation is happening.
If the saved image changes and the newer version is located in the same folder with exactly the same name, then the presentation should display the newer image.
Reason: A link contains information
