How to use/manage templates on an office network?

I want to store LibreOffice 4.0/4.2 templates in a folder on a drive on a Windows network. I set up LO to look at the network folder in Options>Paths. The first time I open with File>New>Templates the templates are initialized and display properly. However, if we need to add templates to the folder, or change the file name due to an update, those changes are not shown in the template manager even after a refresh!
How is this accomplished when supporting 40 users? Thanks for any help!
