I opened an OPENOFFICE spreadsheet in Libre. When I tried to reopen it, Libre would only reopen it as "read only" or a copy. How do I change the "read only" setting?

I have just started using Libreoffice and all my other files are Openoffice. I opened a OPENOFFICE spreadsheet in Libre and saved it and closed it out. When I tried to open the file again, this message came up:

Document file ‘2014%20Monthly%20Calendar.ods’ is locked for editing by:

Open document read-only or open a copy of the document for editing. Open Read-only, Open Copy

Maybe: delete the file “.~lock.2014 Monthly Calendar.ods#” in the same folder (directory).
