Why does LibO 4.2.5.2 fail to install in Win7? ("The wizard was interrupted")

I tried updating LibreOffice to version 4.2.5.2 using the provided MSI file, but that didn’t work; the installer quits immediately after the options (“Create desktop icon”) page with a message stating that the wizard was interrupted.

OS: Windows 7 x64.

Fixed – a reboot was needed for some reason.
