txtOOo extension does not seem to work anymore

When installing Kubuntu 14.04 that contains libreOffice Version: 4.2.4.2 Build ID: 420m0(Build:2)
the extension txtOOo (http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/import-csv)
does not seem to work anymore.

I used it for a long time to import my personal bank account data in Calc, but in this version it does not seem to work anymore.
I can activate it, but when I want to import a csv file, Calc crashes.

Any ideas on how to get it working again ? it sure is an handy tool to use.
I saw that the latest version of txtOOo is from 2012, is there a more recent version somewhere,
or is there another extension that does a similar task ?

Some additional info, I started LO via the command line and this appeared when using txtOOo, just before Calc crashes.
marc@bgc:~$ libreoffice
Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceAdded(QDBusObjectPath)
Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceRemoved(QDBusObjectPath)
Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon’s address.
IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon
QWidget::repaint: Recursive repaint detected

Solved, it works again, but no idea why.
I installed KVM and virt-manager, and after that it no longer crashed, so the only thing I can think of is missing libre office dependencies.
