Can't start the slide show [closed]

LibreOffice version; English; Presentation - iMac running Mavericks; English

I created a simple slide show with 8 slides and no transitions. I see no way of starting the slide show. The web says to click on the Slide Show button. I don't have one. Help

I checked with a MacBookPro and there, LibO Impress has a menu point "SlideShow" open this menu and select "Start from...".

Additionally I recommend to read the manual, which you can download for free from

View >> Toolbars >> Presentation. This toolbar includes an icon for "Run presentation from first slide (F5)" - consists of a picture of a screen with a superimposed blue arrow. fn + F5 does the same thing.
