LO and MS Word Pad

Before, when I used Open Office, I had templates in MS Word, Word Pad, and Note Pad.
Now that I switched to LO, the Word Pad now showed up as a LO document. Why?

Are you saying that when you switched to LibreOffice the WordPad templates (or documents?) started showing up as LibreOffice documents?

• What happens when you open these files? (presumably they will open by default with LO)
• Are you still using MS-Word, Word Pad, and Note Pad, or have you switched completely to LibreOffice?
