How can I get the gridlines to print on the whole spreadsheet?

When I go to sheet- show grid, it only prints the cells and gridlines with things written in it. I want the whole paper to be gridlines though. And if this is not possible how do I insert a table and get it to print empty of any data inside?

I am trying to print the gridlines on a spreadsheet, but I do not know how to do it. Help

Hi @crimsonfox61, If @Edward3 answered your question, please mark his answer as correct. Thanks!

Assuming you mean grid lines:
Format/Page/Sheet, check grid in the print (middle) section

Hi! Did this as you suggest yesterday, and it worked! But today it no longer works even with Format/Page/Sheet box checked. And OBTW: All grid lines show when viewing the doc in 'Print Preview" Any ideas?? Thanks. . . —rob

This causes the grid lines to be printed only in the area where cells are filled in. How can we get the entire grid to be printed even where cells are empty?

Select the cells and apply border, then from View → Page Break Preview, check the blue borders and move it if necessary.

Another way is defining the range to print: Menu/Format/Print ranges.

Another way: Menue-Format > page > Tab:sheet under Print check Grid.
