How to view recent files as list not as icons?

When you open LibreOffice it shows the recently opened files as big icons.

  1. can I view these as a list instead (if so how)?
  2. if I prefer icons (can I make them smaller? They take up a lot of real estate on my lap top)
  3. set # files I would like to see in this window

The first one is of greatest importance to me (which would alleviate the second request).

Thanks

Bart

  1. Donno! 3) Donno!

1) ‘File’ > ‘Recent Documents’ will still drop down a list. I tried to assign this to a shortcut but did not succeed.

  1. Extensions? There are some but I didn’t test. You may start with this location.

  2. Back to the roots? I would prefer the simple list as the LibO 3.x versions presented it next to the surface. An even better solution might (only?) be to present the file history integrated with a file search and presenting the results in a similar way as Thunderbird does it (and to offer saving them as a virtual folder?)? Not suppressing additional information about the files!
