I saved a text file of about 50 pages last night, and a backup of the file. This morning, it would only open 13 words. I used WordPad to try to open the file, and I see all the characters (50 pages) in glyphs. Can I recover this text somehow?
The file (if you saved as OpenDocument Text, ODT) is actually a zip file which you can rename to a .zip and unpack with some zip program. When you have unpacked it, you can inspect the contents. Text you have written should be readable in one of the resulting XML files.
