I’ve been trying to merge an excel document into a word document for the last 24 hours, using LO, and finding that the application crashes once the merge is complete. As I have taken over the role I am in I know that the merging and data work fine in MS Office, but I don’t use that and am reluctant to do so.
After much experimentation I managed to get the 5,800 records to merge with the formatted letter, but when I come to “save merged document” as “save as single document” before printing the application crashes without warning. All recovery attempts return me back to step 1.
I am using LO in both Linux Mint and (because I just had to test it out) Win XP. Apart from Win XP all versions of everything are the most up to date.
I’ve looked through other posts, the only thing I see is a Java issue, so this is also up to date on my machine.
