I just installed Ubuntu 14.04 and wanted to add Base to the default installation. I came to this site to find that there is no search function on the site... no link to installing modules and basically the most difficult web site to use that I've been on in a long time...

The "Discover" section has some pithy marketing stuff but no links to any of the actual software.

So... is there a way to add Base or do I just have to install an entire new version and go from there?

Any help is appreciated.

Refer this AskUbuntu thread. Base is installed separately. General Ubuntu installation instructions are on the Ubuntu Wiki.
