being relatively new to the database world, I’m simply trying to export what I see in my form as a pdf. When I export it, no records are printed, only the columns (as in a tabular form). Am I missing something?

As you don’t say how you attempting to create your PDF, it is a bit difficult to provide any sort of concrete answer.
This is normal. A form by default occupies just one screen page (subject to form page size definition), and displays just the one record (unless you are using a table control). What you want is :
- either a report created via the ReportBuilder ; or
- a FormLetter aka mailmerge document.
