I need to merge a picture with text file with a text file for a photo directory

I’m using Windows 8. I’m using Writer.I already converted the Word files to ODT. I tried using the Mail Merge Wizard but nothing happens after I choose the photo ID file to merge into the text document. I tried using the original doc.x files and they won’t merge in LibreOffice either. I’m using LibreOffice 4.3.1.2.

I’m making a photo directory for a Senior Center. I have one file with pictures and info about each person. The other file is a template file so the pictures and info know where to go.

I assume - that is the way I understand your question - that you have a text file and want to add pictures into the text.

Place cursor where you want to place the image > Insert > Image > From File > select the image you want to add and click OK

Right click on the image and select the wrapping style you want to have and the anchor point.

Don’t use to large picture files!
