Cells and Text Interpretation

I am trying to insert a table into libre-office writer and then put an = sign in one of the cells. I need the cell to interpret the = sign as text rather than an operand. How can I do this?

Maybe there is some trick, but I can’t find it.

But putting one space before =.
Then if it is only one, deleted the space.
If there are several cells use Find/Replace, Ctrl+H.

Left-click in the cell and hold down the button while you drag to an adjacent cell, then back to the target cell so that the cell is highlighted. Then you can enter an equal sign without triggering the formula box.
