Vista home basic SP2 English
the new version shows thumbnails of recently opened docs instead of a blank screen with just the list of recent docs in the pull down file menu.
this leaves confidential docs open to view if someone uses your PC or if somebody happens to be standing behind you while you are working
You can either click each single icon on the top right corner or you can go File > Recent document > Clear list (at the very bottom)

I did not test the workaround! No warranty. Errors expected.
