Using Libreoffice on Windows 7 and JRE 1.8.0_31 (32-bit) I recently upgraded from 4.3.5.2 to 4.4.0.3 and trying to run a report or build a new one using the wizard it would go into an infinite loop. Had to kill the process to get out and then recover the database (that worked, thank goodness). Uninstalled and reinstalled 4.3.5.2 – then all was well again. Looks like a regression bug?
From the Libreofficeforum.org I got this information --- there is a bug report that does look relevant to your problem (which only seems to affect Base Reports on Windows); PLUS also see this duplicate bug report (maybe the problem has been fixed in the latest LO builds?)
