LibreOffice used to have a hot key to insert an inline formula. now I cant find any referrence to it. Does any one know how to do this?

If I understand the question correctly, you can do Tools> Customize> Keyboard tab, Category: Insert, Function: select the second “Formula”

this is what I was looking for.

I might add, that I had to select the function key in the box above that I wanted to assign the shortcut to and then click the “modify” button.
