How can I place the SUM function onto the formula or status bar? It would just be so much easier to do that than go through the functions side bar each time.
- The SUM() function is present in the formula bar as the icon showing the uppercase Greek “S” (Sigma, “Σ”)
- I never use the icon, but type the “=” and the three-letter-name.
- You may also want to know the names and parameter sequences of that couple of functions you are using on a regular basis. Typing is much more convenient than clicking around and searching the ‘Function Wizard’.
- That tool is mainly of use to get a structured view of nested expressions when debugging or enhancing a sheet. Use it as an editor.
