Insert sheets from file: external references are not inserted

Hey,
I am using Libreoffice Calc 4.2.7.2
And I am trying to insert a sheet from another Calc file. This sheet contains references to external files in this format:
=‘file:///home/user/folder/filename.ods’#$sheetname.C5.
When this sheet is inserted it is inserted without any such references. Is there a way out?

Upgrade to 4.3 otr 4.4 should be the solution.
