it just crashed… i didnt save often enough. the autobackup feature wasn’t enabled because i didnt even know about it. I am really lost and this paper is due in less than 2 hours. If anyone can help me with some crazy way to fix this, i would love your help. thank you
nevermind, but I think a possible solution to this might have been to use PhotoRec to scan the temp directories and possible recover the corrupted file, and then use DOC repair kit to recover it that way. the problem I think I had was that I agreed to save the old copy from 6 hours ago over the corrupted file. Lol i have learned one of the golden rules of computer use: save often… Have a nice day and good luck to people with this problem in the future!
