comverted access database in open office is read only. Why?

{ can convert the Access file Accdb to odb but the file is read only and I cannot edit the values. I can however change the field lengths

How did you convert .accdb to Base? Mind sharing the steps? I’m using Linux Cinnamon 17.2 and LO 4.4.

I am not familiar with Access and Base, but I would try to save the open Access DB as Base DB.
