We are trying to use LibreOffice Writer instead of Microsoft Word for our work, but unfortunately the following issue is causing lots of difficulties:
Writer often simply locks up (and needs to be killed) when the text input cursor is positioned at the very end of a line, using a mouseclick. The text is Chinese, contained in a table cell and wrapped over several lines. The problem keeps happening and has led to a lot of frustration and lost work, but it’s not consistently reproducible (or at least I haven’t found out how).
This is with both LibreOffice 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 on Windows 8.1.
Is this a common problem? Is there anything I can do to avoid it? Note: I’m asking this question on behalf of another person.
