I noticed a new version (4.4.2, Fresh branch) came out a couple of days ago.
Being quite new to LibreOffice, I wonder what is the correct way to install this new version. Do I need to uninstall the previous version first? Or is that not necessary? And will my current settings not be destroyed?
Any advice would be welcome.
Install a new version like normally (making sure the installation folder is same as the previous version) and you’re done, normally no uninstallation needed. Be sure to read each new version’s release notes to confirm whether it’ll forcibly install separately, which is bad. Usually, however, it’s not the case with prereleases and finals.
