I am using version 4.3.5.2 under windows vista.
In calc I select Data, then Pivot Table, then Create, then in the select source screen I choose a datasource registered in LibreOffice, then I select in the three fields in the select data source screen Databsase as the name of the registered base database, Type as Query and Data source as the name of the query in the database. I then select OK and the response is the LibreOffice Document Recovery screen.
I get the same response when I try to edit an existing similar pivot table.
Thank you to Alex Thurgood. I did not realise I was running an old version of LibreOffice. After downloading version 4.4.2.2 I have succeeded in setting up my pivot tables.
