Didn’t get this error installing on Vista SP2 and Win7 SP1 machines. Reinstalled but got same error. Thanks.
Uninstalled 4.4.2, cleaned registry with CCleaner, removed LibreOffice 4 folders (there were two of them) from HD, rebooted. Installed LibreOffice_4.4.1_Win_x86 this time allowing a desktop icon, rebooted again and now the program runs seemingly without problems.
Always installed new version over old one and this is the first time I’ve gotten the “sofficeapp.dll is missing” error. Leads me to believe 4.4.2 is buggy or my registry got messed-up over time simply by updating the program without uninstalling the older version first.
