Hi All,

I have a number of Microsoft office files from a course. The files are provided in the .dotx format, and wouldn't open in LibreOffice 4.3.6 (English Language). I use a 64 bit Windows 8.1 machine.

Is there a way of confidently accessing these files through LibreOffice?

Thanks, in your anticipation of your helpful information.

The .dotx extension is for a MS Word template file in Word version 2007 onwards. The x is added to the extension in a similar way to documents being docx.

I can open these files using LibreOffice 4.4.1.2.
