How do I create a page style that "inherits from" another?

I want to create an identical page style for each chapter, just with a different name, but I don’t want to go through all hoops of creating it for each chapter.

Why am I doing this? Because the header in each chapter needs to be the name of that chapter, and this is the simplest way I’ve figured out how to do that.

If below answers do not solve your problem, please provide more information.

What is your “chapter”?

Why is the page style changing from one chapter to another?

Could you possibly upload a sample file? Be careful about the contents; this is a public forum

Presently there is no inheriting hierarchy established for page styles. There exists an old (from 2011 and still “NEW”) feature request to that extent. Refer TDF#41316 and the Vote For Enhancement page where this topic is listed as the first one for Writer.

Thank you!
