Utilities to fix Broken Hyperlinks? [closed]

LO-Writer under Debian 6.0

There are lots & lots of internal links within a 500 page document. Every time a page gets added in the middle it breaks scores of those links. Maintaining these broken links inside LO has become impossible.

I've found coool (a python utility that is no longer maintained) which will find broken links. A more recent utility in a more mainstream language would help.

Thanks for pointing out this Python script. I had to hack it quite a lot to make it produce anything; mostly I deleted all the options, etc. but I finally got it to run.

My document is full of broken internal links to headings. The document has lists of links to headings, and sometimes the links become broken. I have just found this out and I still don’t completely understand it, but LO Write gets confused when I rename and move around links. I think the main issue is when I delete previous top-level sections.

I’ll file a separate question with this issue.
