I saved a .doc file with read-only and editing password, then I could not edit that file even I clicked the edit icon or open that .doc file then save into .odt without any password , is there any way to get rid of this ? Thanks.

What works in my environment (Windows 7/64 & Version 4.4):

  • File Save As,
  • Give the same name (or a new one if you would like to keep the original)
  • Uncheck Save with password
  • File Reload

it's okay to edit the file after saving .doc without password, but if I saved into .odt without password then did the file reload , it seems not working for me. Thanks.
