Math equations appear cut

Hi!

I keep getting Math-generated equations in Writer randomly cut from above and/or from below, as if the field were shorter than it actually is. And if I try to expand the field it simply stretches the characters. Any idea?

Are the equation originally written with LibreOffice? If not, it might be a refresh problem. Double-Click the equation, so that it goes to edit mode. Then leave edit mode. If you have got a current LO version, that will cure the stretch distortion too.
