How to fix a corrupted odt file?

Because Im using the portable verison I have NO user folder and thus NO backup folder.

I already tried everything I could find over google like renaming to .zip and trying to fix it, zip-repair and word-repair tools, everything. The file is the same size and has the same info. But its contents are just hash marks.

I think using OO to recover it is useless, How do I get an earlier version of my file from my Computer?

My windows has the file history function, but it wasnt enabled :frowning:

I need help urgently, anyone?

If you chose ‘Always create a backup copy’ the backup files for a PortableLibreOffice should be placed by default in:

{DriveOrNodeWhereInstalled}\LibreOfficePortable\Data\settings\user\backup

If not: I couldn’t get relevant information from you post. The way of unzipping and looking into the wrapped-in files will sometimes work but cannot easily be described because there a too many possible variants. If the included files cannot even be retrieved, I don’t see any hope. Otherwise further advice may depend on knowing the “real thing” (corrupted file).
