How to preserve formatting of xls charts opened in Calc

On opening an xls workbook designed for Office 2007-2010, charts in the file appear correctly, but have oddly colored backgrounds, with blue and gray where there should be white. Also, the positions and formatting of text become offset. Is there a way to preserve the formatting of these charts?

There are several sheets in the workbook, with four charts, each with its own sheet that I am having the display problems with.

Seems the file has excel macros, please read this link about execel macros in LibreOffice.

Import MS-Word Macros

Hi, I’m working on switching from MS-Word to LibreOffice. I have lots of Macros I created in Word and started reading into importing them into LibreOffice. As it seems they need kind of “translation” which is doen automatically. When I open the normal.dot in LO then I get all the macros and they do work when I run them (some adjustments needed. But when I copy them into the My Macros/Synadartd/Module1 then the same macros do not work any more … guess this is because of the translation needed. …
