Suddenly and inexplicably the new writer documents supersized. Ther old documents are normal. But the new ones are supersized. Toolbar describes font as being normal, 12 font. But it looks more like 24 or 30. Whole page looks huge. Instead of left and right margins measuring an inch, it appears now to be 4 inches. Any way to revert back to normal view of page?

If your font is definitely 12 point, then the only other option is that (however it happened) you have zoomed the page. Check out:-
Menu:-View Zoom (choose value)
