I am so desperate and I want to cry. I worked on a document, taking many hours, and when I reopened the file, for some reason only first page is showing and the rest is gone somewhere and I don’t know how to make them viewable. The bottom of the text on the first page is cut off and the rest of the content is hidden. I don’t know how to fix this.

I still don’t know how to fix the file itself but I did “select all” then copy/paste on a new file and everything showed up. If you know how to fix the file without copy/pasting on to new file please let me know. Thank you.
Your table is likely inside a frame. To proof my guess click on View → Weblayout. Do you see the whole table then? In that case there exists no other way as you have already done, copy the content of that frame - which is actually the table - and paste it to a place outside the frame, then delete the frame.
Such frames often slip in unnoticed, when you convert a .doc document.
