Why do I get a "no SDBC driver was found" after upgrade to 5.0 win 64?

I have been using LO for years and have always kept up with the latest version. I recently upgraded to 5.0 and decide to try the 64 bit Windows version. I started up an existing database and tried running a Query via a form and got an error with the following details. What do I need to do to solve this? The database is called “Jobs.odb”
Windows 7, 64bit, English

The connection to the data source
“Jobs” could not be established.

SQL Status: HY000

The connection to the external data
source could not be established. No
SDBC driver was found for the URL
‘sdbc:embedded:hsqldb’.

A connection for the following URL was
requested “sdbc:embedded:hsqldb”.

I solved this way (on Linux, but it should be the same on Windows):

  1. Install Java
  2. Open LibreOffice Base and go to Tools → Options → Advanced
  3. Enable “Use a Java runtime environment”, you should have at least one entry in the list below this option.

I see this (very helpful and intuitive) error message after trying to opening the Evolution mail client address book in LibreOffice on Ubuntu 16.10 with LibreOffice system packages. Support for this connection has been dropped in Ubuntu > 12.04 and one needs to install LibreOffice deb packages from their website - leaving users in this insanely unintuitive situation.

I can imaging that this might help for this issue as well.
