v4 to v5 subform changes

I’ve recently moved my version of LO from v4.5 to v5.0.0.4 - I’m developing a large application on my MacBook Pro with OS X 10.10.5

I’ve noticed few few subtle and unexpected changes in how forms behave with this new version. The most annoying is this one.

I have a form with subform that now under v5 looks like this when opened:

You’ll notice the subform has a dropdown list used to populate the record and the 1st of two records is blanked out as though selected and waiting to be completed/changed.

However if the same form is opened with v4 it looks like this:

Notice now the sub form is positioned at the first record.

My question now is how can I (probably with a macro - I already initialise all my forms on opening with a macro )
get v5 to behave as it did with v4 when I open the form?

I cannot see the pictures, but I note you are using 5.0.0.4, which was supposed to fix one bug and was still affected by another: a label blanking bug was supposed to be fixed, and a listbox offset bug was not; is your experience similar? Both were supposed to be KDE-specific, though.

Hi SecretaryBird. I cannot see the pictures neither. Will you have another go at uplifting them, please, since I cannot guess at the problem, let alone the solution.

this is similar to the LO 5.0.0.0 bugs in Linux KDE

So can I ‘macro’ my way around the problem?

You are correct - this has been reported as Bug 93618
First cell value in a table grid control subform incorrectly displayed
Apologies to everyone I should have looked in Bugzilla first

Hmm thats VERY strange I can see both images quite clearly
Hopefully you can see these resubmitted as .png files

This is what it looks like with V5

And this is what I’d like it to look like (as it does with v4)

"Hopefully you can see these": nope. Checking the source, I find that one of the images is ‘https://ask.libreoffice.org/upfiles/14418915807718381.tiff’. I can view that in Ocular, but not FireFox 40.0.3. You choose the wrong filetype (TIFF). Save as a jpeg or png (everyone can see those) & replace the other files. Then we can all see them!

Thanks SecretaryBird - I can now see the images (thank you). Nice design! Unfortunately I cannot offer any help with the sub-form, however.

PS
It looks like only Safari supports TIFF images.
