I am working on a project overview document, that should be a reference to hundreds of other spreadsheets.
The purpose should be to gather a few info from a lot of different files with a long project description - they have the exact same layout, but different information in their cells.
As an example, the overview file has the following columns:
Project name / Proj. number / contact person / Budget
These info also exist in those hundreds of documents, always in the same cell number.
Is there a way to do this smart, so I don’t have to open every single document, and click on every single cell, that I want to link in the overview-file? I am thinking just to do it with the first row, and then drag the bottom right corner. And poof. So instead of changing the row number, it shoould change the file name.
Let’s say my files have a structure in their names: Project1.ods, Project2.ods, Project3.ods…
