paste calc table to writer table without juggle

I am using Calc and Writer simultaneously and need to copy a parts of some tables to prepared tables in Writer.

Right now I am paste table to Writer as Formatted text (RTF), then copy pasted table in Writer and then paste that in prepared/formatted table. This is OK I f one has one or two tables in document, but, usually, I have 10 or 20 tables and this way is slow.

Is there some workaround?

I am using Win7 ENG, LibreOffice 5.0.1.2 ENG

@Giagor1 : You are sure you need the prepared text-tables? Otherwise I would suggest you insert your selection from a Calc table as an OLE object.

Another aspect: First having inserted all the selections from Calc in OLE mode, you later can rework them into text tables one by one going through your Writer document.

A tool for direct conversion of Calc sheet-tables into Writer text-tables doesn’t seem to exist.

Hi

The real solution will be available with table styles. Their implementation is still in progress, in particular see this and that.

In the meantime a way to proceed would be to create an AutoFormat for your presentation needs:

  1. Create an empty table presented as you wish, select it
  2. Table AutoFormat Add

Then you can paste from Calc (RTF as you already do), then simply apply the AutoFormat.

Thank you.

One remark - table AutoFormat just sets font, text alignment and border formatting, but column width and width of table stay unchanged.

Obviously, we must wait for table styles.
