I just tried binding active directory, active directory in application mode, openldap, … using BASE wizard (3.5.6.2 version), just impossible, after each trial error Statut SQL: HY000. I can connect these LDAP bases with other tools (softerra ldap browser).

Are you still getting the same error if you test using the latest release?

If you are still getting the same error you can also contact Netgear Customer Service team to know the actual process to solve out the issue properly, I was also facing the same issue and take a help of the mentioned site and my issue is solved quickly.
