I have a workbook developed in Excel 2007. I save it as an Excel 97-2003 format for my users. The workbook uses many array formulas. These formulas work fine in Libre Calc3.3 but they do not work in Libre Calc 3.5.
I cannot find any information about this on your known issues website. Is there a fix?
I think there are improvements in this area on the latest releases 3.6.2.
If you can’t open it correctly in 3.6.2 but you can in 3.3 please open a bug report with a test document.
I have the same problem in Calc 3.6.1. I’ve submitted a bug report. I took one sheet of my multi-sheet workbook and submitted it with the report.
I use the Offset function to define a named range, so if the number of rows changes, the range is always defined. Thats the only thing I can think of that may be part of the problem. I am still baffled why it works in Calc 3.3 and not the later versions.
Bug appears to be fdo#55071 - Array Formulas Do Not Work, with current status of NEW.
I have actually used array formulas in LibreOffice recently and they worked as expected.
Have you tried LibreOffice 3.6.1.2?
At least I can not reproduce your problem by creating a (small) spreadsheet in Excel 2010, saving it in Excel 97-2003 format and opening it in LibreOffice 3.6.1.2.
So, either your problem has been fixed in the latest LibreOffice release, or there’s something special about your file, like, say, the functions you used in those formulas, or the number of array formulas in your file.
