How do I edit a document that I have already created. I have managed to edit the first page with some problems, but moving to the 2nd page the script goes all to pot! Any new words have severa mm between, backspace brings them together with no spacing!

See if Character spacing is set to a value greater than 0. To do that, choose menu Format - Character… - Position tab, below Spacing.

See if paragraph Alignment is set to Justified. To do that, choose menu Format - Paragraph… - Alignment tab, and change Options to Left.
