I downloaded Libre Office fresh to my new computer. It's running Windows 10.

But I get a message "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid Windows installer"

How do I get it to install?

Windows by default has the terrible policy of not showing file name extensions. Go to control panel / folder options, and uncheck "hide known file type extensions".

Did you use MSIE? There are situations in which it will download a .MSI yet save it as a .MAN (you may need to reset defaults in Explorer to be able to see that). Simply rename back to a .MSI, right-click & choose 'install' & it will load. Remember also that you need to be logged in as an Administrator (UAC issues) for that to run without problems.
