How can I import tab delimited data file into librebase

libreoffice ver 4.4.3.2
LINUX

The best way to import is simply:

  1. Open the CSV in the Calc
    application (navigating the dialogs
    to interpret the separators, etc);
  2. Select the data using the cursor–
    select all rows and columns;
  3. Copy the data in the Calc window, for example using
    Ctrl-c;
  4. Open the window for the LibreOffice
    Base application;
  5. Navigate in Base window to
    Tables tab;
  6. Paste the copied data into the
    Tables tab on the Base window
    using Ctrl-p;
  7. Navigate through dialog boxes to
    determine how to structure the new
    table.

When you are done, you have a new table in the Base application with the data from the CSV file open in the Calc application.
