Right now, I’m writing a paper, the text is yellow and underlined, but it doesn’t seem to be an indicator that those two features are turned off. Anyone know how fix this?

Tracking is probably on… To disable: Edit▸Track Changes▸Record Changes.
This will restore the standard display for the newly entered text.
For the already typed text Edit▸Track Changes▸Manage Changes▸Accept All

The above answer is on the right track. To be more accurate, the menu path to turn off showing revision is Edit/Track Changes/Show Changes
It’s a toggle check and can be turned off or on.
