I tried to install Libreoffice but the wizards in Russian. WTF ?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Under what operating system you had this trouble?

The system : Win7 , OEM , ultimate , 32bit , sp1 .

The problem is not in the p.c.
The problem is that the LibreOffice installer lets Bill Fucken Gates and his gang to
have a say during the installation of LibreOffice !!!
And from time to time , Bill and his fucken gang fucks the installation .
If you were in his shoes , weren’t you doing the same thing ?

I’m not asking fot an installer in my natve language, that will too much .
All i want is an installer in the English language !
no more space

I fully share your opinion about the talents of experts from this corporation. However, I try to express my emotions more modestly - here are women and children. As far as I know, the installer tries to use the language that is specified in your system settings as native (He’s just trying to be courteous)

I’ll continue in this comment :
I can not believe i am the first person facing this problem ,
it is probably known for a long time .
Again the problem : the installation wizard starts in English
, then turns to Russian from the second “slide” until the end .
I believe this bug is known for a long time ,
and i believe it’s there on purpose !

If you know any fix , please let me know .
Thank you.

About my language : sorry for that !
I am blocked from installing LibreOffice , and i’m angry .

I’m afraid that you not approach my way. I had not seen the installation wizard many month ago. I use the administrative installation. It shows only the window of the first step: msiexec /a "<source_drive&path>\LibreOffice_5.1.0_Win_x86.msi" TARGETDIR="<target_drive&path>"

Can i use this line in the CMD ?
How do you control what items are installed ?

I read these :

And it’s clear Libre Office is not ready yet for a silent-install .
Thank you .

I always install all the components - the place occupy little, but may need at any time. Try it. (Your links about office from 2011 year  )

Thank you .

And how do i specify a complete installation ?
Is it the “a” parameter in your code-line ?

I run the command prompt as an administrator ,
I edited your code-line to include the actuall directories addresses ,
and it run beautifully until the second “slide” of the installation wizard
appeared , in Russian of course !

This is actually one of the things mentioned in the 2011 articles i linked .
So , unless i totally misunderstood your advise ,
we have another example for a bug that is in the installation-systen
for at least five years .
Thank you any way .

Hello JohnSUN .

I think we might have a misunderstanding .

You wrote :
" I had not seen the installation wizard many month ago.
I use the administrative installation. It shows only the window of the first step
"

But , when i used the code-line you wrote ,
i did see the installation wizard (in the wrong language) .

Are you sure about what you wrote ?
and can you understand why the installation in my p.c. behaves differently ?

By the way , maybe i found a fix to this bug .

Excuse my bad English. Meant - I do not look (do not pay attention, do not read) on the wizard dialog box :frowning:

Thank you JohnSUN
To sum up , someone in LibreOffice , on purpose ,
forces everybody to use the faulty software of Micro$oft .
Even though people come to this site because they want to stop using that crap !

Is there a way to report this bug (probably reported in the past) ?
Is there a way to find what more Micro$oft-shit we are forced to use
just by trying to use LibreOffice ?

And, since i know how to fix this bug (not for novice users) ,
can you tell me where to post the fixture ?
Thanx

Maybe here? Let it will be your answer to your question, why not?

The solution i found was to install ORCA .
It is a freeware that manipulates installers .

With ORCA i deleted all the optional languages and left only one ,
so , the installer had to use this language .

Since there are no names of the languages , only language-code ,
I had to find in another place what is the code for my language .

If you wonder , 2057 is the code for English-Great-Britain .

This manipulation only affect the install process ,
everything in LibreOffice stays the same .

I’ll continue in this comment .

How can we make LibreOffice publish an installer that works in English only ?

I don’t care if they will leave the current trap-file ,
just to give a link , next to it , to the correct file .

My fixture is really not for novice users ,
and some users will need help to avoid this nasty hindrance .

Thank you

I spent almost 15 minutes until i managed to post the question !
Who is the bastard that hates us the users so much that
have put so many hurdles in my way to ask the question ?
You should be ashamed !!!

Do not get excited, moshe11. If not for that “bastard”, then your question would simply get lost among the offers to buy, to visit, to lengthen…

Apart from the problem in the software itself ,
which i hope will be fixed one day ,
I had to go through a very difficult way just to report it and get an answer .
Were these obstacles there just by chance ? i don’t think so .

I think the unfriendly way we the users are treated ,
has a strong connection with some of the “mistakes” in the software .

I can guess where it is going ,
but , let’s leave that aside for now .
