Getting errors when saving to a network using Macbook Pro

I use a Macbook Pro OS 10.11.4 (El Capitan). When saving to a network drive I get an error:
Error Saving document [Document Name]:
Error during shared access to /volumes/home$/folder/documentName.ods

After clicking ok I get another error:

Error saving the document [DocumentName]:
Object is not accessible.
The object cannot be accessed due to insufficient user rights.

I have version LibreOffice version: 5.1.1.3
I have seem some helps on this for Windows machines but I have not seen any solutions for macs. Maybe I just didn’t find the help info for a Mac. Any help would be appreciated. I am getting this error in the calc and writer but I have not tried it in any of the other apps.

I would try using Finder → Go → Connect to Server & then use the Browse button to locate you network drive and if necessary login in using connect as BEFORE saving to the network drive. If you still have problems then check the permissions of the folder/drive where you are saving to. If all this fails use the disc utility to repair permissions. It’s a fact of life that permissions regularly go walkabout with OSX

Thanks for the help. It seems it now saves to the network now but still throws the errors. Once it saves the first one (and after it throws the error) I can then save additional documents without the error.
