I find LO Draw to be a useful small-scale pdf editor, but it fails to handle recent pdf files correctly. (I could submit a sample if the developers need one.) When is this feature likely to be upgraded? Since one cannot just ‘save’ a pdf, but must ‘export as pdf’, any graphics that it has mangled stay that way.
The current target version of the PDF specification, broadly speaking, is v1.4. Refer this question about encryption.

Adobe Reader says the document in question uses version 1.5 (Adobe6.x), so I guess that explains my problem. I gather from oweng’s answer that an upgrade is on the to-do list, but not soon. Dick H.
