I’ve just upgraded to Win10 from 8.1; LibreOffice desktop icon remains but clicking only produces the file folder with files for LibreOffice. How can I restore LibreOffice shortcut on desktop. LibreOffice is still working.

Click Start/All apps
LibreOffice should still be listed. Drag and drop LO icon to desktop.
